Ask away!
How do I order?
Easy! Just just send us an email: info@thesweetalley.com or simply click the button below. It would also help if you can share an idea that you may have in mind, a theme perhaps or even sample photos. If unsure, you can source the web for some inspirations, I usually direct my clients either to our Gallery or Pinterest.
Please take note though that we can not do an exact replica of other sweet artist's work due to copyright and ethical issues; plus wouldn't you rather have something created uniquely just for you?
How can I secure my spot, how long in advance do you need notice?
Reservations are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. We only take a few orders per week to ensure the quality of products that we produce so once you are sure and have a date, let us know right away. We get bookings even a year prior. So, the more time you give us, the more time we can put much attention on your order.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required once the order has been placed, minimum of 1 month prior to the event; 2 months for weddings. The final balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event; 4 weeks for weddings. Orders will only be considered confirm upon receipt of deposit.
Orders with less than 2 weeks notice, is considered rush and therefore full payment is required once the order has been placed and is non-refundable (not applicable for weddings).
Do you offer consultation and cake tasting?
Yes, we do on wedding orders $500 and above and by appointment only. We charge $40 for 2 people, extra may incur for additional people. You can choose 3 cake flavours from our menu (4th flavour will be a suggestion from me) which we can discuss on the day of tasting and consultation. However due to Covid19, we are unable to do a person to person consultation. You can still try samples by keeping up to date as we will schedule to have Cake Tasting boxes to be picked up from our headquarters then enjoy to the convenience of your homes and discuss the details later on either via email or Zoom.
How do I care for my cake?
From TSA premise: Make sure AC is on. You can either have someone cradle the cake box with utmost care on their laps or the cake box is placed on the flattest floor of your car. Try to avoid putting it on the seat, as it can cause the cake to slide during transportation.
At the venue: Keep cake refrigerated and bring to room temperature 30 minutes to an hour prior to serving. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heaters or any warm object.
Shelf life: Of course best eaten on the same day especially if your cake is with edible flowers which tend to wilt easily, but would still be okay for 3-4 days provided it is kept in the fridge, in an airtight container, to avoid absorbing any fridge smells. Cakes are best served at room temperature, but don't leave them out for too long to keep it fresh as possible.
